Life, the Universe and Everything

This post is about Kmap, and for all who are aware what is a Kmap, you already know that:

“The Karnaugh map, also known as a Veitch diagram (KV-map or K-map for short), is a tool to facilitate the simplification of Boolean algebra IC expressions. The Karnaugh map reduces the need for extensive calculations by taking advantage of human pattern-recognition and permitting the rapid identification and elimination of potential race hazards”

However, this post is not meant for the knowledgeable but for ‘the enlightened ones’, who know, Who is Kmap?.  If it sounds a lot like “Who is John Galt?”, I intended so.

For those of you who happen to be aquainted with HTML, you would have already noticed that my life begins and ends with Kmap.

It was back in year 2003, that I had my first tryst with Kmap, and I thank my ISC curriculum for that! However now i am sure that had Kmap not been there in ISC, my life still would have been the same, maybe with a different handle but pointing to the same resource. 😉 Phew! I did not intend to sound like I was speaking about Pointers to Functions here but its just my nature to jargonify things a bit, at times. So it began then, and flourished and i nurturted it with all i had to offer and there we are “Me and Kmap!” 🙂

I would also like to mention here that, when Neha & Neha, who happen to be one of the few ‘enlightened ones’, were illuminated with the know-whos of Kmap, gave some really witty remarks about STLD and other boolean names that I could use in future. Its actually not that bad an idea, but i guess I won’t need it!

Since that evening in 2003, I am deeply and madly and truly in love, and will always be forever and ever.
